Hi-Tec are extremely proud to join forces with the National Trust to launch a brand new family of walking boots inspired by nature and developed specifically with their environmental impact in mind. The Hi-Tec Altitude Enviro WPi is the beginning of an important and significant journey for Hi-Tec - small, but greener steps in the right direction. The challenge was to engineer a lightweight, waterproof walking boot that offers unbeatable performance, comfort and true value, along with greater consideration of every ingredient of the boots DNA and its environmental impact. Fully endorsed and supported by the National Trust, the Altitude Enviro WPi is the result of sheer determination to ensure Hi-Tec are not part of the problem but are striving everyday to become part of the solution in preserving our beautiful planet. Ion-Mask is a process that can treat any shoe but it is important to note that it is not just a waterproof technology; it is a water management technology. Shoes engineered as Ion-Mask (HPI) have all the benefits of the Ion-Mask process but are not designed to be waterproof. Instead of trying to keep water out, they welcome water. Typical products here would be sandals or trail running shoes with open mesh materials which become much improved after the process. HPI shoes will be quicker drying because they absorb less water, they will also remain lighter as a result and stay clean longer than conventional untreated equivalent models.Hi-Tec's expertise in designing, developing and manufacturing Tec Proof construction products, delivers truly functional waterproof/breathable footwear for versatile usage.
